The purpose of the Hispanic Latino Law Student Association (HLLSA) is to connect Latino law students with the legal community of Des Moines, Iowa.  We seek to encourage and empower students by creating a community at the law school that enables them to excel academically, socially and professionally.  We promote understanding, awareness and respect for the Latino culture and issues facing the Latino community.  HLLSA is a small organization and because of our size we are able to offer opportunities for leadership positions.  We are committed to community service, mentorship, and social activities.
