The Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (APALSA) represents the interests of Asian Pacific American law students and provides advocacy, support, and career development opportunities for its members. APALSA also seeks to be an advocate and resource for the Asian Pacific American community in Des Moines. Drake APALSA is a chapter of the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association (NAPALSA), which was founded in 1981 and is the first and oldest national Asian Pacific American law organization. The goal of the organization is to promote education, leadership, community awareness/service, communication and interaction amongst the various Asian Pacific American law students across the country and represent their interests.
